Chicago is rightfully considered the economic, industrial, transport, and cultural capital of the Midwest. Unofficially, it is also sometimes called the “Second City” and “City of the Winds”. Chicago was first named the “City of the Winds” in an article in the Chicago Tribune for 1858.
